The Sacramento Kings defeated Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors in a pivotal game, causing them to be ousted from the NBA playoffs.
It might have been the final game where Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, and Steph Curry all played for the same team.
But immediately following the sting of the Kings defeat, Curry was treated to a most welcome gift. After the Warriors were eliminated from the NBA season, his expression of astonishment and delight at seeing the present was a complete 180-degree flip around.
The stunning gift that Stephen Curry was given
After the game against Sacramento, the star player for the Golden State Warriors wasn’t having a good time, but when he found out he would be playing for the United States men’s basketball team in Paris in 2024, his countenance brightened.
The 36-year-old Curry is the fifth player to represent the Warriors with Team USA in an Olympics; this will be his first Olympics.
As Warriors coach Steve Kerr leads the men’s basketball team at the Olympics, Steph will undoubtedly feel completely at home. Gregg Popovich, who guided Team USA to the gold medal at the Tokyo Games, is replaced by Kerr.
The team, which will also comprise Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Anthony Davis, will be captained by LeBron James.
Before heading to Paris in July, the American squad will attend training camp and exhibition matches in Las Vegas.
