The news that the Memphis Grizzlies have lost franchise player Ja Morant once more has devastated the whole NBA community. Morant will miss the entirety of the 2023–24 season due to a tear in his labrum, but we’re hoping he can fully recover and return stronger the following season.

Ja Morant’s distinctive sneaker hues are all inspired by his own sayings, catchphrases, and all-around unique style. The forthcoming “Red Stardust” hue is modeled off the $30,000 personalized grills that celebrity jeweler Johnny Dang created for Morant.

In contrast to previous Nike Ja 1 releases, this pair has touches of premium leather panels throughout the toebox. The sneakers have a colorful “Red Stardust” upper. The canvas mesh uppers are made, and the perforated black rubber Nike swooshes have a unique texture. On both heels, the Ja Morant emblem is visible as the upper rips to a vibrant red color. A spotless black outsole and a crisp speckled midsole complete the shoe. But what really makes these shoes unique are the little touches that Nike included in the design.
