De’Aaron Fox celebrated the Sacramento Kings’ victory over the Golden State Warriors on Instagram after they defeated them in the play-in tournament. 

Remarking on the post that was a celebration of his own failure, Steph Curry said, “I hate that I liked this post.”

Ironically, when De’Aaron Fox eliminated Steph Curry from the play-in round, he was even sporting Curry’s.

Because of their close vicinity, the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings already had some history, but the past two years have significantly increased it.

Last season, in the first round of the playoffs, the two teams advanced to Game 7, which featured a highly contentious incident in which Draymond Green stomped on Domantas Sabonis. It is truly a full circle moment for the Warriors to lose to the Kings in the same arena where Golden State vanquished Sacramento.

Both teams must start again even though the Kings defeated the Warriors in the play-in tournament. 

Both clubs had the same record, neither made the playoffs, and both want to at least return to the postseason the following year.

Despite the animosity between Warriors and Kings supporters, it’s crucial to keep in mind that Steph Curry and De’Aaron Fox are completely in love.
