NBA Veteran Asserts Unfit Nikola Jokic Can’t Fill Shoes of LeBron James or Stephen Curry Despite Strong Belief

It’s safe to conclude that as the years go by, a large number of foreign players are gradually dominating the league. Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and many others are just a few of the players that have left their stamp in the league.

Still, given that Stephen Curry and LeBron James are getting close to retirement, will one of them soon be the NBA’s face? Given his excellent basketball skills, it would be reasonable to call Serbian center Jokic the league’s future face.

However, a former member of the Miami Heat feels that the Joker is missing a crucial component to earn that renowned name.

Goran Dragic, a former Miami Heat teammate of Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller, was featured in an intriguing edition of The OG’s podcast.

When asked if Jokic could become the NBA’s face, the renowned European point guard said, “I think you need to have two things.”

Not only must you be the MVP and the winner, but you also need to be well-suited to the market. I’m not sure if Jokic possesses that. He’s unquestionably MVP, but the face these days presumably needs it all.

Social media and the internet are disliked by the two-time MVP. He doesn’t have a social media account anywhere. In addition, everyone knows how reticent Jokic is. Thus, it would be difficult to expect someone of his caliber to promote the league. Jokic, in Dragic’s opinion, just wants to triumph and “ride horses” when he returns to Serbia.

Not only Dragic, but a lot of people think Jokic will never be the NBA’s face anytime soon. The star of the Denver Nuggets, though, says otherwise in a recent commercial.

The widely shared Nikola Jokic advertisement suggests that the two-time MVP might become the league’s face.

Jokic is a very funny person. During the post-game interviews, we had witnessed the 6’11 superstar making the media laugh uncontrollably.

Unexpectedly, a few days prior, he acted in an internet sensational commercial for the highly anticipated film Despicable Me. The film’s crew cleverly employed Felonious Gru, a well-known cartoon character that resembled the Joker, to promote their latest release.
