“To be honest, I think every game is tougher and tougher,” Jokic said, via Denver Post. “You can see, they were up 20 in Denver, in Game 2. They were up 12 today in the first half. But yeah, I think it’s really hard to play against the same team over and over again. You kind of get bored with the style of the play or whatever. So you just need to — especially for us, because we won the last three — just trust what we are doing and don’t get bored with success. Because it can (go) wrong really quick.”

The fact that Jokic appears to be barely exerting himself outside is the worst part. for the Nuggets, averaging 26.4 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 9.0 assists. With the Nuggets playing some of their finest basketball to date, the soon-to-be three-time MVP has made them nearly unbeatable.

Role players like Aaron Gordon, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and others are sometimes disregarded by the public and media, but they are crucial to the team’s success, and the Nuggets are the ones who understand the need to keep this system in place the best.

It is becoming increasingly clear that Jokic is the finest player in the world, and with the Nuggets on a tear that makes them difficult to beat right now, they are on the verge of yet another sweep of LeBron James and the Lakers. Few teams in the West can truly compete with the Nuggets, but anyone who isn’t in Dallas, Oklahoma City, or Minnesota is probably out of the running in a series against them.

The Boston Celtics, of course, had the best record in the East this season and are viewed by many as Jokic and company’s biggest opponent. Boston has the best chance of any team to defeat the reigning champions if they can maintain their health and avoid making blunders in the final moments of the game.

However, given how the Nuggets are currently playing, a miracle would be needed to defeat them, and there are no indications that they will allow that to happen. Denver is currently on the road to the championship, therefore it will be intriguing to see whether any other team can stay up with them during the postseason.
