Game 5 of the NBA Finals between the Denver Nuggets and the Miami Heat takes place at Ball Arena in Colorado on Monday night.
The Nuggets were down nine points at the half and were having serious trouble shooting the ball.
They shot so badly, in fact, that they ended up on the wrong side of NBA history.
From ESPN Stats and Info: “The Nuggets finished 1-15 (6.7%) from 3 in the 1st half, the worst in any half in Finals history (min. 10 attempts)”
In the NBA during the regular season, the Nuggets had the second-best three-point shooting percentage (38.0% 3P).
Three of their four best players, Jamal Murray, Nikola Jokic, and Michael Porter Jr., all had three-point percentages above 38%.
Through the first three rounds of the NBA Playoffs, the Nuggets—who hold the top seed in the Western Conference—have defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves, Phoenix Suns, and Los Angeles Lakers.
