The Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves will play Game 2 of their second-round playoff series on Monday night at home in Colorado.
Reggie Jackson, the 2023 NBA Champion, headed to the locker room during the second half due to an injury.
In 10 minutes of action, Jackson shot 1/6 from the field and 1/3 from three-point range for three points, two rebounds, one assist, and one steal.
For the remainder of the game, the team has not provided any updates regarding his condition.
“Reggie Jackson limping to the locker room, being helped by the medical staff. Looked like an ankle, which he’s had issues with for the entire season,” according to Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports.
In 82 regular season games, Jackson shot 35.9% from three-point range and 43.1% from the field, averaging 10.2 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 3.8 assists. Jackson has been a vital role player for Denver.
With a 57-25 record, the Nuggets are the second seed in the Western Conference.
In five games, they defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA playoffs’ opening round.
Jackson assisted the Nuggets in defeating the Miami Heat to win the 2023 NBA Championship last year.
They will play the third game of their series against the Timberwolves on Friday night at the Minnesota Target Center.
The winner of the series will play either the Oklahoma City Thunder or the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals.
The Nuggets were defeated 106-99 at home in the opening game on Saturday.
