Right now, all eyes are on Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and his son Bronny James from the University of Southern California. Because of their unclear futures, these two names will be in the news a lot this summer.
Though he stated that he might return to school if he so chooses, Bronny just announced his candidacy for the 2024 NBA Draft—a path that he may need to pursue to reach the next level.
LeBron has a player option with the Lakers for the upcoming season, and he must decide by June 29. Many people believe he will opt out of his contract with the organization and either test NBA free agency or re-sign with Los Angeles. James also has a difficult decision to make regarding his future.
Meanwhile, another James family member is beginning to draw attention for his skills on the basketball court. Bryce James recently faced Trevor Ariza’s son Tajh Ariza via the Twitter account “NBA Future Starts Now.”
Bryce James is only 16 years old, so it will take him a few more years to be discussed in relation to the NBA, but he’s off to a great start and will probably become well-known in college before moving on to the professional ranks.
LeBron and Bronny, the other members of the James family, could decide to stay in Los Angeles or move somewhere, so it’s still unclear what will happen to them.
