Denver Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic Secures 2023-24 Kia MVP Honors

Nikola Jokić, the center for the Denver Nuggets, is the 2023–24 Kia NBA Most Valuable Player and the winner of the Michael Jordan Trophy.

Jokić has won the Kia NBA MVP award three times, having won it twice before in the 2020–21 and 2021–22 campaigns.

Joining Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (six), Michael Jordan (five), Bill Russell (five), Wilt Chamberlain (four), LeBron James (four), Larry Bird (three), Magic Johnson (three), and Moses Malone (three) as the nineth player to win three or more MVPs is the Serbian veteran of nine years in the NBA.

Jokić finished the 2023–24 NBA regular season in 10th place with points, fourth place with rebounds, and third place with assists per game. He joined Oscar Robertson as the only other player in NBA history to finish a season with at least 2,000 points, 900 rebounds, and 700 assists.

In the NBA, Jokić came in second place with 68 double-doubles and 25 triple-doubles. His field goal percentage of 58.3% was the tenth best in the league.

The Nuggets (57-25) tied for the best record in the Western Conference and tied the franchise history for wins in a season behind Jokić.
