The superstar LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers’ son Bronny will not enter the 2024 NBA Draft. In a recent interview with ESPN, his agent Rich Paul affirmed this.
James had a disappointing rookie campaign with the USC Trojans and decided to join the 2024 NBA Draft. He was forced to miss the first part of the season due to heart concerns, and when he did play again, he only averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists.
James registered for the draft and used the transfer site to look into his alternatives. However, it now seems that he and his agents have determined that it would be better for him to go pro as soon as possible.
Paul remarked, “Bronny’s [draft] range is wide.” He’s a great talent with lots of untapped potential. One team is all that is needed. I don’t care if that squad is ranked first or fifty-eighth; what matters to me is the development and the plan. The financial commitment, the potential, and the team’s approach. I’m not doing a two-way contract because of this. Every squad is aware of that.
James’s combine performance, in which he demonstrated his explosiveness and athleticism in addition to better shooting, allayed some concerns about his game and contributed to Paul’s confidence that James will be selected. A team is also more likely to take a chance on James this season because the 2025 class is regarded as being significantly stronger.
Although playing with his father on the Lakers has generated a lot of talk in recent months, Paul claims that James’ primary objective is not that.
He said, “The Lakers need to look at Bronny like everyone else.” It’s fantastic if they think highly of him and he is present. It is fantastic if it is not the Lakers. If not, I won’t be upset. Though it’s not our main focus, it’s evident that others hear the chat about the father and kid playing together. It’s excellent if it comes naturally. I’m not going to expand on that.
