The NBA summer is Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets’ favorite season of the year, as he has demonstrated once more.
The three-time MVP has been taking advantage of an early vacation from the game following his Nuggets’ devastating second-round exit from the 2024 playoffs.
The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated Denver in seven games in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Jokic’s offseason began in the latter part of May as a result of the defeat.
Additionally, it appears that the 6-foot-11 center is making the most of his downtime.
Earlier this week, a video of the Serbian partying and flaunting his dance talents went viral on social media.
The 29-year-old Jokic’s attempt to unwind following a challenging season delighted NBA fans.
With a laughing emoji, the user wrote, “Bro don’t even remember he’s an NBA player in the offseason.”
“For this guy, basketball is a side gig,” along with a laughing emoji.
“Can you imagine if Jokic liked basketball 1/4 as much as he likes the offseason,” someone another said.
“It should be illegal to be this tall and this damn smooth,” a person wrote.
Jokic was eager for the offseason to begin, even after the Nuggets had won the NBA title the previous year.
The six-time All-Star was informed that he would need to remain in the United States until the team’s championship parade later in the week after Denver’s decisive victory over the Miami Heat in Game 5.
Jokic said, “No,” seeming notably disappointed.
“I need to go home.”
Jokic was amusingly overwhelmed by the amount of congratulations he had received during the same press appearance.
Throughout the 2023–24 regular season, Jokic averaged 26.4 points, 12.4 rebounds, 9.0 assists, and 1.4 steals.
Meanwhile, the 2024 NBA Finals are proving to be a pretty one-sided spectacle.
Game 3 on Wednesday saw the Boston Celtics defeat the Dallas Mavericks 106-99 to take a 3-0 series lead.
After being fouled out of the game with four minutes remaining in the third game, Mavs star Luka Doncic faced harsh criticism for his underwhelming effort.
Doncic acknowledged that he let his teammates down and accepted responsibility for his errors in the crucial game.
About getting fouled out for the first time in his career during the postseason, he stated, “It was tough, probably wasn’t the smartest thing.”
